I think you will find that the problems won't go away. TM clients any up playing second fiddle to any large events that they are dealing with i.e. Euros, Olympics, Rugby World Cup.

The other issue is that the best ticketing systems are all fairly similar. Some will do certain things better than others, but in the end there is not a stand out system. So the challenge then is to find the staff to manage the system and/or the vendor in order to get the best out of it - that won't change because they've changed systems.

But you still only get what you're actually prepared to pay for. Pay peanuts and you ....

The existing company that runs the ticketing is SeeThreeSixty which is part of Seetickets - the organisation that managed to sell 120,000 Glastonbury tickets last year in 25 minutes!

West Ham United are delighted to announce that Ticketmaster, a Live Nation Entertainment Company, has been appointed the Club’s ticketing partner in advance of the Hammers’ historic move to the former Olympic Stadium.

As the world’s leading ticketing agency with vast experience of major sporting events, Ticketmaster will be at the heart of West Ham’s day-to-day ticketing operation, working together with the Club to provide best-in-class products and service excellence to supporters at the Hammers’ new home.

This latest partnership announcement, which offers the Hammers a complete package encompassing the very best in ticketing technology, is further evidence of the Club’s commitment to transforming the supporter experience on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

West Ham United Vice-Chairman Karren Brady said: “The move to the new Stadium presents us with a unique opportunity to offer a spectacular supporter experience and today’s announcement is a significant step in that direction.

“Our supporters can look forward to vastly-improved service across the board and so we are delighted to be working with an organisation of Ticketmaster’s repute at this exciting time in West Ham United history.”

Supporters should note that Ticketmaster will only handle ticketing transactions relating to the new Stadium.

All transactions for Boleyn Ground tickets will remain with the Club’s existing provider. Supporters, therefore, do not need to take any immediate action and will be directed accordingly in the coming weeks.

Adam Newsam, Managing Director Ticketmaster Sport, said: “West Ham United is undoubtedly one of the most dynamic fan-focused football clubs with an extremely passionate supporter base.

"It’s a hugely exciting time for the Club and we are honoured to be in partnership with them at the heart of the day-to-day operations in providing a fantastic service to fans, and filling every seat come match days.”
